Artist Interview: Ashley Ingold

Ashley Ingold is one of our newest teaching artists at One Strange Bird. She is full of energy and is the perfect instructor for our kids summer camps, as well as family, kids, and toddler classes! Ashley also teaches some of our Friday and Saturday night BYOB classes such as painting, drawing, and printmaking. She brings a style and sweetness to her teaching that makes her students, young or old, fall in love. Her artwork shows her personality and her interests in color, fashion, and imagination.

What is your favorite class to teach and/or what class would you like to take?

Love making and teaching the Collage classes, dreamcatchers, painting, tie dye.

What’s role at One Strange Bird? Adult and youth art instructor, retail, anything I am needed for.

How would you describe your artwork?

Girly, colorful, imaginative.


How does your art relate to your work at One Strange Bird and vice versa?

My art reflects student interests and my personal viewpoints on customer satisfaction as well as new techniques I incorporate from teaching various classes.

What type of art do you want to try?

More mixed media classes, printmaking.

What publication do you see yourself in a few years from now?

Having my own art room in a school, selling art of my own, continuing to teach classes.
