At One Strange Bird, we love ANYTHING rainbow, so of course we were dying to try our hand at making rainbow bark. Check out our fun version of this easy treat. We used only two colors of chocolate so when they mixed, they didn't turn brown. We also added a little lavender food oil to make the flavors pop.
Ingredients Needed: Wilton Melting Chocolate (2 bags white and one purple), lavender food oil, rainbow sprinkles, Sixlets candy, parchment paper, baking sheet tray, two double boilers, and a spatula
Temper the chocolate in separate double boilers by melting 2/3 of the bag on a low setting on your stove. Once that has melted, remove from heat and stir in remaining chocolate until all is melted. Add in a few drops of your favorite baking flavoring oil. (We used natural lavender food safe oil).
Line a baking sheet with parchment. Using a spatula, put one color of chocolate on the sheet. Add spots of second color. (Continue with as many colors as you want.) Use a spatula to "marbleize" the chocolate.
Add whatever sprinkles and topping you prefer and allow to set until hard. (If you're in a hurry, you can put it in the freezer.)
Once the chocolate has set, break into chunks with a knife. Serve and enjoy!
