Festival season and summer weddings mean you have so many excuses to wear a flower crown - and what girl wouldn't want to take advantage? DIY with these simple steps, and rock your crown at your next social event!
Step 1: You will need:
+ an assortment of flowers + ribbon + floral wire + floral tape + hot glue + scissors
Step 2: Snip off shorter bunches of flowers from the bouquets. Bend your floral wire in a U-shape for a crown that sits closer to the front of your head or a full circle for a halo shape. If you choose the halo shape, tape ends together with packing tape.
Step 3: Attach the flowers together in bunches with the floral tape. Attach the bunches to the wire also using the floral tape. Stagger the stems so that there aren't any large gaps in your design.
Step 4: Attach ribbon to the crown using hot glue. For the U-shape crown, attach to the ends and finish the crown with ribbon, tying a bow to connect the loose ends. For the halo crown, attach to a small section using hot glue and loosely wind around the crown and glue down the end once you reach the beginning of the ribbon. Tie a bow using plenty of ribbon at the end.
