Crafting pretty things out of paper can be so therapeutic. I made these watercolor flowers for our in-store spring display and they make me super happy. Here's how!
You will need: watercolor paper+watercolors and brush+floral wire+hot glue+dark paper+scissors or paper cutter
Step 1: Cut 3" x 4" squares of the watercolor paper. Create a natural look by tearing the edges of each square.
Step 2: Use your watercolors to create an ombre effect on each petal, making the ends more saturated and gradually watering down the tint. Make 6-7 petals for each color of flower. Wait for them to dry fully.
Step 3: Create a small tear in the center of on edge and slide the floral wire into the tear. Use hot glue to reattach the petal to itself and to the wire. Continue staggering and layering on petals until you reach your desired look.
Step 4: Tear a small piece of black paper and crumple it up into a ball. Use hot glue to attach to the center of your flower.
Step 5: Display proudly! They look especially adorable in mason jars, and you won't have to worry about watering them!
