Spruce up your space with these adorable paper pinwheels! We absolutely love color + pattern, and this craft is an easy way to combine both.
You will need: patterned paper+hot glue gun with glue+glue sticks+paper straws+paper punch+ruler+x-acto knife
Step 1: Choose your patterned papers. You can purchase double-sided paper, but we chose two complimentary patterns and glued them together with a glue stick. Cut your paper into a square. The larger the square, the larger the pinwheel!
Step 2: Using your ruler and x-acto knife, cut along the diagonal of the square for each corner, leaving uncut space in the middle.
Step 3: Fold every other corner of the pinwheel in towards the center and use the hot glue to attach to the center of the paper. Repeat until you have the pinwheel shape. (If you want the pinwheel to spin, do not use hot glue, but rather use a hole punch to make a hole through all folded corners and then use a brad to secure the corners together. Skip step 4.)
Step 4: Punch out a shape from another piece of patterned paper using the paper punch. Use hot glue to attach to the center.
Step 5: Use hot glue to attach the paper straw to the back on the pinwheel. Enjoy your adorable creation!
